Description

From Henry II in 1041 to the Lords of Manzano in 1250, from Pietro Bressano and his descendants in 1370 to Amedeo IV of Savoia, from Ludovico Costa in 1418 , treasurer of the prince of Acajae councilor of Amedeo VIII of Savoia, and his family i whose Counts were feudal lords until 1872 . The Castle of Carrù was sold to the Currenos who in 1977 ceded it to the Cassa Rurale e Artigiana di Carrù, now Banca Alpi Marittime, the current owner.

The Castle of Carrù has a centuries-old history that intertwines with a character wrapped in mystery and legend: the blue lady. Each castle has its own legend. It is said that the ghost of Paola Cristina del Carretto Contessa Costa, wounded to death by an arrow, portrayed in the well-known painting in blue dress, every first Friday of the month, when the moon shines high in the sky, wanders around the castle, detaching itself from the framework, and wander in search of .. a secret.

It is said that Dr. Andreis di Carrù mixed herbs and plants relaxing to bring peace to the tormented nights of the soul of the lady of the castle, thinking back to court tastes to sip infusions of herbs and medicinal plants. Hence the “Speziali” tea to pay homage to the history, cultural heritage and traditions, keeping them alive over time … in peace … good tasting!
